The Coinbase Commerce alternative for merchants outside the US and Singapore
Coinbase closed Commerce on 31 March 2026 and moved merchants to Coinbase Business, which only accepts businesses with a legal entity in the United States or Singapore. inzi takes USDC and USDT payments straight into a wallet you control, on six networks, at 0% per transaction.
Coinbase Commerce closed on 31 March 2026
Coinbase unified Commerce with Coinbase Business. Merchants had to move by 31 March 2026; after that date the Commerce portal became inaccessible and no new charges could be created.
Coinbase Business is only available to businesses with a legal entity in the United States or Singapore. Coinbase says it is expanding to more countries during 2026, but merchants everywhere else were told to move to another provider.
“If you're based outside the United States or Singapore, Coinbase Business is not yet available in your region. We are expanding to additional countries throughout 2026, but you will need to transition to an alternative provider before March 31, 2026 if you want to continue accepting crypto payments.”One more change matters if you chose Commerce for self-custody: Commerce wallets were self-custodial, while Coinbase Business is custodial only. inzi keeps the part Commerce merchants relied on — the money lands in your own wallet.
